Soon the air in urban metropolises will be fresh thanks to the replacement of petrol engines by electric transport, digital controllers will have made traffic jams history, and unmanned vehicles will bring radically changes to road accident statistics. It should then become obvious that teleportation will never abolish the romance of a road trip: an exquisitely formed sports car with high-speed and an electric motor will appear on demand and drive itself. Public transport will become an office – noiseless, comfortable, cheap and clean. And so, having cast aside forever the timetable of the daily commute, we will enter the age of teleportation.
